One of the perks of our new house is that we are on the route for the Heritage Days Parade and 5K. Heritage Days is Mt. Vernon's fun community summer festival. We all enjoyed the short walk to main street checking out the bands, art in the park, and tasty food vendors! It was also a wonderful time to see so many people including many old friends who come back for the weekend.
