Chicago

Andy, Andy's mom Sue, Katie and I all enjoyed a long weekend trip to Chicago.  We made it to Millennium Park, the Art Museum, Museum of Science and Industry (huge disappointment) and the Brookfield Zoo.   Katie was a great traveler and hopefully it prepared her for the long car ride to South Carolina next month.

Katie is trying so hard to crawl.  She has been rolling over like crazy and has been having fun moving.  Now she is pushing her hands up, arching her back and trying so hard to get those legs to work.  I think she will be crawling just in time to be eating sand in South Carolina.

Staying Dry But Smelling Funky....

We are all dry and safe but on limited water usage.  That means: no baths, no showers, no laundry, no doing the dishes, they also do not want you to flush the toilet after every use and use hand sanitizer as opposed to washing your hands.  I am so thankful that we are all dry and safe that it's hard to complain about the limited water usage.  It sounds like in a little bit we might not have any water!   Here are some pictures of Katie during bath time before the limited water usage began.....

An Exciting New World

This week has been my first full week of summer vacation.  It is great to be able to spend 10 weeks home with Katie.  She has made so many changes recently and it has been a lot of fun.....busy but fun.

Currently, Katie is reaching for EVERYTHING.  If I have her on my lap while on the computer she is trying so hard to reach the keyboard to type away.  I can no longer carry Katie and walk around with a drink without a watchful eye on Katie who is constantly trying to reach for my drink.  Forget jewelry, she is after that too.

We've been having a lot of fun this summer and can't wait for future adventures....
